    A cause and an issue that I think is some what similar in importance is the whole gay rights situation. I don't think it may be as serious as the rights that African Americans demanded.I think that gay rights are some what similar to this cause because in America,and probably other places around the world, gay people do not have the same rights as somebody who is heterosexual. This is not right and I do not think that people should have to go through what they have had to go through. If more people were to try and do something to gain the rights that they deserve. It might take a while, just like it took the Freedom Riders a while, but in the end it will be worth it. Where I stand in this situation is that it does not directly effect me, but I still support the movement and think that something should be done. If something was to be done about it then I would definitely try to find a way to be a part of it. No matter how hard Hollywood tried  to depict the Freedom Riders I do not think that it could be authentically done. I don't think so because of all the torture and hard times that these people went through. I mean in a sense Hollywood is usually good with depicting things similar to this topic, but for some reason I just don't think that they would be able to depict the Freedom Riders with all these actors and actresses who don't really feel the struggle that these people really had to go through. I also feel like Hollywood would try to change up some stories to make them more interesting or possibly even try to cut out very important parts. If Hollywood depicted the Freedom Riders in a effective way in a movie, the movie would probably have to be like 3 hours long to actually include every moment.
